The annual Virginia Polar Dip was held at Lake Anne Plaza on Feb. 1 to benefit Camp Sunshine. This remarkable camp provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness. Last weekend’s Polar Dip featured over 100 jumpers and chicken dippers with sunny skies and mild temperatures. Through pledges or self-sponsorship, each participant raised or donated a minimum of $100 for the opportunity to plunge into the frigid waters, and receive a commemorative “I DID IT” event shirt. This year’s goal is to raise $100,000, which will allow 40 families from the Mid-Atlantic area (including VA/MD/DC/DE/PA/WV/NC) to come to Camp Sunshine.
There’s still time to donate to this very worthy cause!! Click the logo below to help support Camp Sunshine!
