The annual Virginia Polar Dip was held at Lake Anne Plaza on Feb. 1 to benefit Camp Sunshine.  This remarkable camp provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness. Last weekend’s Polar Dip featured over 100 jumpers and chicken dippers with sunny skies and mild temperatures. Through pledges or self-sponsorship, each participant  raised or donated a minimum of $100 for the opportunity to plunge into the frigid waters, and receive a commemorative “I DID IT” event shirt. This year’s goal is to raise $100,000, which will allow 40 families from the Mid-Atlantic area (including VA/MD/DC/DE/PA/WV/NC) to come to Camp Sunshine.

There’s still time to donate to this very worthy cause!! Click the logo below to help support Camp Sunshine!

Chesapeake Chocolates, Wine, Gifts, and More served delicious hot chocolate and hosted a special Virginia wine tasting that featured fine Virginia wines by Linden Vineyards,  Thanks to everyone who stopped in during this special day on Lake Anne…all proceeds from wine sales will be donated to Freezin’ for a Reason.
